We began our day with a couple of races! I ran the Firecracker 5K. I was shocked that I got a personal best at high altitude, without working out the past few weeks. Mark came to watch with the girls and so we stayed with a couple other friends for the children's race.
Emma ran three quarters of a mile around a lake and she was so proud of herself. Elsie ran about thirty feet through the finish line. And they both got ribbons and a gift certificate for a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cone!
After the races, a parade started from the same park...bonus! So we stuck around. Emma loved the free candy!
